The Allingham brothers (Alex and Matt) took over the ownership of the Chip and Pin in August 2022. They were joined on their journey by Nathan Barnett, a close friend of the two brothers. “Nathan expressed an early interest that he would like to become our pub manager and we were thrilled, what Nathan didn’t sign up for was the whole pub renovation which had a 3 month deadline.” Nathan battled against the strong wills and varying opinions of Alex and Matt, however, against all the odds Nathan completed the renovation within the deadline. What was equally impressive was Nathan’s ability to renovate the building & switch straight to managing the pub, cellar and looking after our valued customers.
After the extensive renovation the Bank of Beers micro pub opened its doors in the beautiful village of Melbourne, Derby on 29th November 2022.
Come and join a fantastic, relaxing atmosphere, where there is great conversation and banter which is enjoyed by all. We do not have a television as we want to create an environment where communication is key.
We endeavour to continue to provide a variety of different products to ensure that we are meeting the needs of our customers and we are extremely happy with the Bank of Beers and what we have created so far which will only continue to thrive and evolve.
